"It's a fantastic job" – Jürgen Klopp reacts to Germany job talk | OneFootball

It has been suggested that current Red Bull Head of Global Soccer and former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp could take over from Julian Nagelsmann as Germany coach after this summer’s World Cup.

However, speaking at a MagentaTV event (via Bild) on Monday, Klopp insisted that it is not something he is currently considering.

At the same time, as on many previous occasions, he left the door open to a possible return to coaching in the future.

“I’ve already said that a thousand times – at the moment I’m obviously not thinking about that at all. Fortunately, there is also no reason to. As for what happens in the future, I’m not really at the end of my coaching career yet. Who knows what will happen in the next few years? But there are absolutely no plans in that regard," Klopp said, adding:

“I was a coach my entire professional life. It’s a fantastic job. It’s better that people think that at some point in the future Jürgen Klopp could do it, rather than everyone thinking: ‘He is the last person who should ever do that!’ I can understand it all to some extent, but I also can’t give you any better answers. I’m sorry about that,” he said.

Klopp was appointed Red Bull’s Head of Global Soccer in January 2025.
