Leeds United defender Jaka Bijol played the full 90 minutes as Slovenia secured a hard-fought clean sheet in their goalless draw against Kosovo in Friday night’s World Cup qualifier.

Bijol, operating at the heart of the Slovenian defence, produced a composed display to help his side claim an important point away from home. The 26-year-old was heavily involved throughout - registering 104 touches and completing a match-high 90 passes, the most of any player on the pitch.

It was another assured performance from the Leeds man, who combined defensive solidity with confidence on the ball. He created one chance going forward while contributing four key defensive interventions, three clearances, one interception, and five recoveries. Bijol also came out on top in four duels as Slovenia frustrated the hosts in Pristina.

The result keeps Matjaž Kek’s side third in Group B, maintaining their hopes of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup. Slovenia now turn their attention to a crucial clash with Switzerland on Monday (19:45 BST), where victory could move them into the top two.
