And the competition will reach a special landmark this weekend, as Japan and Tunisia get ready to face off in the 1000th World Cup fixture.

It will be a special moment for football's premier competition and the match could provide some top-tier entertainment.

Japan opened their 2026 World Cup campaign with a dramatic late 2-2 draw against the Netherlands, while Tunisia were thrashed 5-1 by Sweden.
