The winger has some big decisions to make following the Hammers' relegation to the Championship.

Premier League relegation was always going to hit West Ham's players hard and, inevitably, it has hit Jarrod Bowen the hardest.

The winger signed for the Hammers from Hull City in 2020 and has become the club's talisman and an England international in the process.

Bowen has a strong affinity with the club, not just for his impact on the pitch but due to his marriage to Dani Dyer, son of avid West Ham supporter Danny Dyer.

Now, with the Irons preparing for Championship football and the 29-year-old facing a crucial decision on his future, the couple are facing a difficult time.

The Hammers are facing a summer overhaul following their relegation from the Premier League, with the likes of Mateus Fernandes and Bowen among those who could leave.

Not only was Bowen dealt the cruel blow of demotion, but he was also controversially left out of Thomas Tuchel's World Cup squad, with Noni Madueke given the nod instead.

There have already been reports of Premier League clubs interested in the right-winger, but any decision he makes would have a significant impact on his family.

Now, an insider has revealed to Heatworld that although Bowen and Dyer's marriage is strong, the current situation has caused tensions with the pair at 'loggerheads' over their future.

The source told the publication that although the 29-year-old does want to stay at the London Stadium, he does not know what the future holds.

Furthermore, the whole Dyer family wants him to stay, so he is feeling the pressure, but he needs to do what is best for him.

They add that Bowen has been linked with Everton, Liverpool and Newcastle United, which would mean a move up north, something Dani is not very keen on.

Danny would also be devastated too if he were to leave West Ham and a move up north would really twist the knife.

What should Bowen do about his Hammers future?

Bowen is clearly facing a difficult decision on a multitude of levels, and he will surely take his time before making such a critical decision on his future.

Firstly, there is a clear argument to remain at West Ham as the Irons would be favourites to secure promotion with him in their side, meaning he may only play Championship football for one season.

After the news that Nuno Espírito Santo will remain in charge in East London, that offers some stability and a manager he already knows well.

Moreover, given that the 29-year-old will not feature at the World Cup, coupled with the fact that the next major tournament is not for another two years, he could be playing top-flight football with the Hammers by the time Euro 2028 comes around.

On the flip side, Bowen has been linked with some of the best clubs in the country and an opportunity to move to such sides may not open up again.

If he were to leave, then it seems obvious that he would favour a move to a London club, so if that chance were to arise, then he could appease his family while following his ambition.

Whatever happens, speculation around the former Hull man's future will almost certainly not go away as he faces the most challenging decision of his career.
