Valencia ended LaLiga 2025/26 with a home victory over Barcelona, although they again failed to qualify for Europe. According to Superdeporte, Javi Guerra was outstanding, with Stole Dimitrievski, Luis Rioja and Diego López also impressing.

Barcelona struck first through Robert Lewandowski after Tárrega lost his man and Pepelu played him onside. Jesús Vázquez had a first-half penalty appeal against Ronald Araújo waved away by referee Cordero Vega. Dimitrievski was assured under the high ball and beat away an angled drive from Balde.

After the interval, Diego López created a clear chance for Hugo Duro, then went off injured for Largie Ramazani. Guerra hit a fine left-foot finish after pouncing on a mistake. Rioja then turned the game, drilling in with his left to put Valencia ahead.

With Barcelona short of intensity, Guido Rodríguez added a third from the edge of the box, low and firm. Dimitrievski later denied Andreas Christensen at close range to protect the result. Unai Núñez was steady at right-back and rarely ventured forward, though he did slide a sharp pass into López.

Filip Ugrinic grew into the match after a quiet start, while Duro toiled and was replaced by Sadiq on 80 minutes. Vázquez remained a threat on the overlap and almost drew another penalty after a foul by Marc Bernal on the line. The win closed the campaign but left Carlos Corberán’s side outside the European places.
