Javier Pastore, agent of Enzo Fernandez, said: "At the moment, he is calmly thinking about the national team, he is playing a World Cup with the possibility of qualifying for the last 16. He only thinks about that, while we are studying options to leave Chelsea. But nothing has been signed with any club."
The former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder was speaking to Marca. Fernandez is at the 2026 World Cup with Argentina, who face Cape Verde in the round of 32 on Saturday, with kick-off at midnight on Thursday night.
Asked about Real Madrid and the city, Pastore added: "He has many friends here, notably Julian Alvarez, the Atlético forward, and whenever they have the chance they spend time together in the city."
"I also live in Madrid, and when he comes it is to see me and sort professional matters. But who does not like Madrid? I never played there, and I live there."
Fernandez joined Chelsea in winter 2023 after an outstanding 2022 World Cup with Argentina, crowned after a dramatic final against France that finished 3-3, then 4-2 on penalties. His remarks have added to speculation over a potential exit.
