Jed Wallace has left West Brom after a four-year spell, the winger part of a group released by the club. According to ExpressAndStar.com, his farewell included a message for James Morrison.

Signed by Steve Bruce in 2022 as a marquee free transfer, Wallace quickly won over fans during a difficult start to the 2022/23 campaign, then remained influential across the next two seasons.

Injuries and squad changes saw him spend spells out of the side in his final two campaigns, though he was central to the recent revival under Morrison before another setback. In total he made 150 appearances, scoring 16 and assisting 16.

Wallace said captaining Albion was a privilege after Carlos Corberan handed him the armband, and he expressed gratitude to staff and team-mates.

He thanked fans for their backing through the ups and downs, said the experience will stay with his family, and congratulated Morrison on taking charge, wishing him well at The Hawthorns. Wallace added he will pursue the next step in his career while keeping a close eye on Albion.
