João Afonso and Tiago Andrade start in the under-20s' win

João Afonso and Tiago Andrade started in Portugal’s under-20 win over Venezuela (3-1) on matchday three of the Maurice Revello Tournament, held in the French city of Toulon.

With FC Porto’s first signing for 2026/27 playing the full 90 minutes between the posts on his debut at this level, and the forward on the pitch for 45 minutes, Portugal remained in second place in Group B with seven points, one fewer than Ivory Coast, who have played one more match. Goalkeeper Diogo Fernandes and defender Luís Gomes, also FC Porto players, remained on the bench.
