Transfer talk around Wolves, West Brom and Aston Villa is gathering pace, with Joao Gomes’ preference emerging and Liverpool linked with Emi Martinez.

Sport.ua reports that negotiations have begun over a move for Pedro Lima, with Shakhtar said to be closing in on an agreement.

Talks over a potential £38m switch for the Wolves midfielder to Atletico Madrid were said to be advancing. He is reported to favour Madrid and has rejected approaches from four clubs, namely Leeds United, Zenit Saint Petersburg, Atalanta and Galatasaray.

Wolves are understood to have given Jackson Tchatchoua the green light to leave. Bologna are credited with leading the chase, with Real Betis, Villarreal, Rennes and Marseille also interested.

West Brom have again been linked with Ben Brereton-Diaz. The Southampton forward scored four in 17 on loan at Derby County last season and, with two years left on his deal, would command a fee.

Fresh claims suggest Liverpool are exploring a deal for Martinez after another outstanding campaign at Villa. Alisson could depart, with Juventus named as front runners, and internal talks on a potential move are said to be gathering momentum.
