João Palhinha wants to stay at Tottenham

After scoring the decisive goal to secure Tottenham’s Premier League status, João Palhinha revealed that he wants to remain at the club beyond the summer.

Roberto De Zerbi has stated his desire to sign Palhinha, who is on loan from Bayern Munich, on a permanent basis, which Spurs can do so for a reported €30m (£26m).

Palhinha has also expressed his wish to remain in north London.

“Since the first day I arrived I feel at home,” explained Palhinha. “From the supporters, the crowd. Top club. Who doesn’t want to play for Tottenham and stay here? I have everything here. But this is like a marriage. What I can say to you is I would really like to be here and I enjoy it a lot this season with this club – even with it being a tough season.”

The 30-year-old played in 33 of Spurs’ 38 Premier League games in 2025/26.
