A Spanish jobs site has posted a Saudi Pro League vacancy for a defensive midfielder, with the chance to face Cristiano Ronaldo. According to Goal.com, the listing names the employer as the Saudi Pro League but does not specify a club.

The advert appears on Futboljobs and seeks candidates with experience at a comparable or higher level. Applicants must be free agents, submit a CV or Transfermarkt link plus recent highlights, and be represented by an agent with full control.

The pay range is stated as £522,000 to £875,000 per annum. With no team identified, the successful player could line up against or alongside stars including Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, Riyad Mahrez and Karim Benzema.

The league has drawn global attention since 2023, spending about £1.5bn to attract marquee names. Ronaldo remains its headline act and has signed a two-year extension at Al-Nassr worth about £492m, despite turning 41 next month. He reportedly received a £24.5m signing-on bonus, rising to £38m if the second year is triggered.

He scored his 16th league goal of the season in a 2-1 win at Damac FC on Wednesday. Abdulrahman Ghareeb opened the scoring before Ronaldo doubled the lead shortly after half-time. Jamal Harkass pulled one back, but Al-Nassr held on for back-to-back league victories.
