Jon de Luis signs for AE Kifisia in the Greek Super League | OneFootball

According to as.com, Bilbao Athletic centre-back Jon de Luis has joined AE Kifisia in the Greek Super League on a free after his Athletic contract expired in June. The 2003-born Pamplona native had been registered with Ernesto Valverde’s first team for Champions League duty.

His exit is the third at centre-back this summer. Aimar Duñabeitia has signed a three-year deal with Sporting de Gijón, with Athletic retaining a two-year buy-back option, while Eneko Ebro has agreed to end his contract.

Ebro, loaned to Cartagena last season, arrived at Lezama at schoolboy age. He leaves having played 23 matches and scored once in Primera Federación for Bilbao Athletic.

De Luis spent three seasons with the reserves, making 85 appearances. After arriving from Osasuna in June 2023, he earned call-ups and featured in friendlies and in the Champions League with the first team.

He now links up with head coach Sotirios Kyrgiakos at Kifisia.
