Aston Villa are targeting reinforcements out wide this summer and have set their sights on Bologna’s winger Jonathan Rowe.

Unai Emery is already preparing for a return to the Champions League, and his recruitment team has identified the explosive Rowe as a summer target following a highly productive debut campaign in Italy.

The 23-year-old recovered from a slow start to become one of Serie A’s most feared wide attackers since the turn of the year.

Rowe’s dynamic performances have boosted his market value and attracted interest from several Premier League heavyweights.
