Unai Emery is already preparing for a return to the Champions League, and his recruitment team has identified the explosive Rowe as a summer target following a highly productive debut campaign in Italy.

The 23-year-old recovered from a slow start to become one of Serie A’s most feared wide attackers since the turn of the year.

Rowe’s dynamic performances have boosted his market value and attracted interest from several Premier League heavyweights.

The London-born forward has tallied eight goals and four assists across all competitions this season. Notably, four of those goals came during a blistering run in the UEFA Europa League—including a spectacular curling finish against Aston Villa in their quarter-final tie in April.

That standout display drew admiration from the Villa manager. Bologna, who signed Rowe from Marseille last August for a fee close to €19.5 million, now find themselves in a precarious position.

With his contract running until 2029, Bologna fear losing their prized asset after missing out on European football for next season. The club’s sell-to-buy model may force their hand if English clubs present premium offers.

Rowe’s rapid development means a substantial fee will be required to secure his signature. Heavy competition is expected, with Chelsea reportedly plotting a move to bring him back to England.

However, Villa can offer Rowe a guaranteed, ambitious sporting project under Emery, a manager renowned for elevating direct, transition-heavy wingers.

Rowe has never hidden his desire to return to England as he eyes a senior international breakthrough under Thomas Tuchel.

With searing pace, sharp one-on-one dribbling, and a newfound clinical edge, Rowe offers the exact tactical profile Villa need to inject fear into top-flight defences next season.
