Leeds United have submitted a bid for Jorgen Strand Larsen as they seek attacking reinforcements, and Wolves received the offer on Friday.
Sky Sports reports that Wolves rejected the initial approach, value the 25-year-old at £40million, and are in no rush to sell.
Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest, Tottenham and Newcastle have also been linked with the Norwegian during the current window.
Strand Larsen has one goal and one assist from 20 Premier League appearances this season. Wolves are bottom of the table with one win.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has nine goals and one assist from the same number of matches for Leeds, and has been a key figure as the Whites bridge the gap from the relegation zone.
