RC Lens oppose a postponement of their 11 April home clash with PSG, but president-owner Joseph Oughourlian has few illusions about the LFP siding with the European champions.
According to L'Équipe, PSG lead by one point with one game in hand against Nantes. The European champions have officially asked to delay the Bollaert fixture to better prepare for Liverpool in the Champions League, with ties on 8 and 14 April.
The request will be studied on Thursday morning by the League's board, which has the statutory power to authorise a new date despite Lens's firm opposition.
In a LinkedIn post on Tuesday, Oughourlian struck a fatalistic note, calling for a lively board debate on fairness yet admitting he has few illusions about the outcome.
If approved, Lens v PSG would be rescheduled between the matchday 33 and matchday 34 multiplexes, on 9 May and 16 May.
