Brighton have rejected two bids in excess of £50m for Joao Pedro with Chelsea one of the clubs according to journalist Ed Aarons.
Chelsea are set for a busy summer and have already completed the signing of Liam Delap from Ipswich, whilst they are closing in on a deal for Jamie Gittens.
The Blues are also thought to be in the market for a versatile forward and a centre back to strengthen Enzo Maresca’s squad ahead of next season.
Whilst a striker was the main priority this summer, the Blues are in the market for a versatile forward given both Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix are set to leave.
Chelsea have been linked with Hugo Ekitike and Mohammed Kudus, whilst in recent weeks Brighton’s Pedro has also emerged as a target.

The 23-year-old scored ten Premier League goals last season, and Chelsea have held discussions about signing Pedro.
Newcastle also hold strong interest in the Brazil international, and Aarons has provided an update on the pursuit of Pedro.
He took to X.com and said:
“Understand that Brighton have rejected bids from two clubs – believed to be Newcastle and Chelsea – in excess of £50m for Joao Pedro. Talks are ongoing…”
Whilst Pedro could arrive, Felix is almost certainly heading for the exit door despite only joining from Atletico Madrid last summer for £45m.
