Julio Díaz ‘to join’ Levante as Atlético de Madrid agree deal | OneFootball

According to Superdeporte, Levante have reached an agreement with Atlético de Madrid for Julio Díaz, with documents already being exchanged.

The 21-year-old left-back will sign until 2030, with Levante acquiring 50% of his rights for 1.5 million euros. It is their third addition for 2026/27 after Enzo Bardeli and Aïssa Mandi.

Díaz came through Atlético’s academy and made his first-team debut this season, featuring in four matches and impressing enough to draw interest from top-flight clubs such as Levante.

His standout outing was against Sevilla, when he played 86 minutes and recorded an assist. His most recent appearance came against Valencia, a 2-0 win for Diego Simeone’s side.

Head coach Luis Castro can now call on Díaz at left-back, a role that needed reinforcing. Manu Sánchez’s loan has ended and Diego Pampín has not renewed.
