Ivan Juric bought himself some more time thanks to a narrow victory over Dynamo Kyiv on Thursday. The Giallorossi weren’t overly convincing but prevailed one-nil thanks to an Artem Dovbyk PK in the first half. Mats Hummels was expected to draw his first start, as he openly declared during the recent international break. Instead, he was once again an unused sub.

“Evan N’Dicka is playing the position with great confidence. Hummels is behaving like an exemplary professional. I can’t say a negative word about him and can just thank him for that. He’s been impeccable and always practices very well. He looks like an extraordinary person to me.” “However, I see N’Dicka very well there. Juric also addressed Enzo Le Fée, who got the nod after dealing with a knee injury for a while.

“He has everything in place to get better. He’s an intelligent guy and is willing to learn. I’m confident in his growth. He had a decent game today, misplacing some passes, which isn’t normal for him.” “Overall, I liked the team in some instances, less in others. We lack some self-belief. We deserved to win looking at the chances we created, the shots, and corner kicks. Our level of aggression was optimal.”
