Chelsea and Newcastle United are in talks this week regarding striker Nicolas Jackson, and it appears a conclusion can be reached.

The Blues are busy working on getting some deals done not just this week but as we head towards the end of the summer transfer window now.

Sources: Chelsea pushing to get final fees agreed to sign two players early this week!

Chelsea are now closing in on signing Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig this week after progression seems to have been made and the reliable reporters are putting out their fresh info on it.

And we have also heard this morning how Ajax defender Jorrel Hato only wants to join Chelsea as The Blues look to get that one tied up as well now for this week.

So, plenty going on, and Newcastle are keen on signing Jackson as well as Chelsea look to make some big changes in their attacking department over this summer’s window.

Jackson to Toon?

The i Paper are reporting that Newcastle have already made preliminary contact on Nicolas Jackson but Chelsea are quoting teams an astronomical £80m.

Their sources believe Newcastle’s valuation is closer to £65m.

So there is a gap in valuation, but it’s not much at all.

A conclusion can be reached

There is only £15m difference between the valuations of the clubs here for Jackson, so of course a conclusion can be reached fairly easily. It can be reached in add-ons and/or bonuses in the deal I am sure that if all parties wanted this to happen then they can easily reach some sort of agreement.

I can actually see this one happening to be honest. Newcastle clearly need a new striker and Jackson will be available this window for the right price. I just think this has a sense of getting done.
