Amidst all the talk of dressing room unrest following three winless matches, Real Madrid are under intense pressure to turn things around when they face Olympiacos in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.
However, it appears that things could get more difficult for manager Xabi Alonso, who now finds himself sweating over the availability of a key player for the trip to Greece.
Indeed, according to Jose Luis Sanchez on El Chiringuito TV, key Real Madrid superstar Thibaut Courtois has left team training early on the eve of their game against Olympiacos, raising alarm bells.
The Merengues are undergoing their final training session before the trip to Greece, and as per the journalist, Courtois left the Valdebebas facilities even before the sessions started.
This is a matter of great concern as there are now question marks over the Belgian international’s availability to face Olympiacos on Wednesday.

Courtois has been one of Real Madrid’s most consistent and reliable players this season and has been key to them claiming top spot in La Liga and making a positive start in the UEFA Champions League.
So far this season, the 33-year-old veteran has started each of Real Madrid’s 17 matches across La Liga and the Champions League, conceding only 14 goals and keeping eight clean sheets in the process.
Courtois even captained the team this past weekend when they were held to a 2-2 draw against Elche away from home.
But, if he is unavailable to take on Olympiacos tomorrow, Alonso will be forced to turn to backup shot-stopper Andriy Lunin, who has not played a single minute so far this season.
