As Real Madrid gear up to take on RCD Mallorca at the Santiago Bernabeu later tonight, their problems on the injury front continue to grow.
The Merengues were already without a host of first-team players coming into the game, forcing manager Carlo Ancelotti to include a number of academy talents in the squad list.
On top of that, the club confirmed earlier today that Andriy Lunin had to be withdrawn from the squad due to a knock he picked up in training.
Now, AS reports that Brahim Diaz experienced discomfort in his left adductor during training and has been ruled out of tonight’s match against Mallorca.
The versatile Real Madrid forward had been expected to start alongside Kylian Mbappe in the attack tonight in the absence of the Brazilian pair of Rodrygo Goes and Vinicius Jr.

However, the Moroccan international had been dealing with the discomfort since the Clasico defeat over the weekend and it has now been decided not to risk him tonight at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Brahim is also likely to miss the weekend clash against Sevilla with the idea being that he is available to say goodbye to the La Liga season vs Real Sociedad.
This leaves Real Madrid in a difficult position as there are 12 first-team players now ruled out of tonight’s encounter against Mallorca.
This situation puts Real Madrid at risk of breaching competition rules, as teams must field at least seven first-team players at all times to avoid a violation.
So, it becomes very important for Carlo Ancelotti to manage his team selection and substitutions with utmost care as Los Blancos hope to bounce back to winning ways after the 4-3 loss against Barcelona.
