Sunday morning and the newly updated Premier League form table.

Seven matches played on Saturday.

With Fulham v Ipswich and Liverpool v Man U to be played on Sunday, then Wolves v Forest on Monday night.

Kicking off the action on Saturday was Spurs v Newcastle United.

Eddie Howe’s side going behind inside only four minutes, only to brilliantly fight back and deservedly take all three points.

As Newcastle United fans, I thought you might fancy a glimpse at the newly updated Premier League form table this fine snow-covered (out my window on Tyneside anyway) Sunday morning.

Here is the updated Premier League form table on Sunday (5 January 2025) morning, which covers the past six matches for all teams:

The last six PL results for Newcastle United with very latest one listed first:

Spurs 1 Newcastle 2

Newcastle 3 Aston Villa 0

Ipswich 0 Newcastle 4

Newcastle 4 Leicester 0

Brentford 4 Newcastle 2

A lovely sight.

As you can see, Newcastle United now top of the pile when it comes to recent form in this newly updated Premier League form table (it would of course show a perfect six out of six in all competitions).

NUFC with fifteen points from five wins, no draws and just the one defeat, with seventeen goals scored and five conceded.

This is how the full Premier League table currently now looks on Sunday 5 January 2025:

The Premier League form table AND the full Premier League table now summing up how well Eddie Howe has got the team playing.

How many neutrals, or indeed Newcastle United fans, would have predicted victories against all three of Villa, Man U and Spurs? Especially with the last two of them away from home.

Difficult not to wonder about the possibilities of where Newcastle United could be in four weeks time.

The next four Premier League matches see United with home games against Wolves, Bournemouth and Fulham, with a trip to rock bottom Southampton the only away trip in amongst that lot in the league fictures.
