Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla has criticised Inter Milan head coach Cristian Chivu after the club’s 4-3 loss to Juventus, warning the Romanian if he is not careful “he will end up like Thiago Motta.”
It was a tumultuous and thrilling Derby d’Italia last night, with the Bianconeri scoring a stoppage-time winner to claim the three points.
Inter were leading the game heading into the final ten minutes.
However, the Nerazzurri capitulated in the final moments and Juventus snatched the win from under their noses.
On his YouTube channel, Pedulla said “Chivu lost on and off the pitch yesterday, I can’t say where it went more wrong.”
He continued, “In the meantime, he trampled all over the club’s transfer market, something incomprehensible.”
“If you put Akanji, who just arrived, on the pitch and then don’t rely on a fresh midfielder, you’re already indefensible.”

Pedulla continued his criticism of the Inter head coach.
“Luis Henrique was unused, Sucic after the dazed Zielinski. Basic substitutions that even I could make, role for role.”
He issued a warning to the Romanian, stating:
“Inter is Inter and he must remember that, if he doesn’t want to end up like Thiago Motta.”
Chivu’s situation at Inter is already showing worrying signs that parallel Motta’s poor spell in Turin.
The Bianconeri took the gamble on a young manager with ties to Serie A in the past.
Inter have done similarly with Chivu but were hoping he was destined for brighter things than the Italian.
Pedulla concluded by describing the Nerazzurri’s performance against Juventus as “a sterile possession performance.”
“It wasn’t a scandal to have lost,” he added.
“You win matches with focus. You can’t be happy about the performance when a normal coach would have flipped tables in the press room.”
