Ahead of World Children's Day on November 20, and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of Save the Children's Punto Luce, the link between Juventus and the organisation - that for over 100 years has been fighting to save children at risk and ensure their future – has been further strengthened.
This bond is visually evident on every Juventus matchday, with the organisation’s logo imprinted on the Juventus jersey, with Save the Children's Punto Luce in the Le Vallette neighbourhood of Torino continuing its good work with the support and contribution of Juventus.
The Center supports children and families in economically and socially challenging conditions, offering them assistance in various ways, including literature, art and music workshops, providing access to new technologies, sports and motor activities, among others.
Juventus has always lended its support to youngsters, as evidenced by the club's daily commitment to the development of its Youth Sector, and on Monday afternoon, wanted to give a special surprise to the children of Punto Luce in Via Fiesole.
After the arrival of Juventus CEO Maurizio Scanavino and Save the Children's Director of Brand, Marketing and Fundraising Giancarla Pancione, the educators began to explain the children's planned activity for the day when, to the surprise of the youngsters present, Juventus First Team players Vasilije Adzic, Michele Di Gregorio, Nicolo Fagioli, Nico Gonzalez, Pierre Kalulu and Carlo Pinsoglio entered the room.
The initial and understandable shock soon gave way to euphoria and so, after being divided into groups with the players, the children wrote their thoughts on the importance of Save the Children's Punto Luce in helping them realise their dreams, using fruit-shaped stickers, which were then hung on a large sheet. The sheets were then autographed by the players and joined together to form one large tree.
It was a perfect team effort that gave the gilrs and boys in the Le Vallette neighbourhood an injection of enthusiasm and optimism and underscored, once again, how valuable the partnership between Juventus and Save the Children is.
