Juventus are maintaining their efforts to bring Randal Kolo Muani back to Turin, but negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain have hit an impasse, according to reports from JNetwork24, Bianconera News, and Tutto Juve.

The French forward made a solid impression during the second half of last season while on loan at Juventus, displaying the flexibility and work rate that appealed to the new coaching staff and the club’s hierarchy. Juventus, keen to strengthen their attack under Igor Tudor, have proposed an extended loan with a purchase option, a formula they hope will ease the club’s financial transition as they overhaul the squad.

However, PSG have been firm in their stance, declining the loan-with-option approach. The French champions reportedly prefer a permanent sale or a loan that includes an obligation to buy, ensuring immediate or guaranteed compensation after investing heavily in Kolo Muani just two years ago. This approach reflects PSG’s priorities in recouping their initial outlay rather than risking further uncertainty.

From the player’s perspective, Kolo Muani is said to be open to a long-term stay with Juventus. Sources indicate he has quickly acclimated to the environment in Turin and is eager to continue under Tudor, who values his tactical flexibility and commitment to team structure.

Despite these positive signals from the forward and Juventus’ persistent interest, there are significant hurdles remaining. Notably, Chelsea have emerged as contenders, with Tutto Juve highlighting that the Premier League club could submit an offer more in line with PSG’s demands for a definitive transfer. PSG’s willingness to engage with Chelsea signals that Juventus must move swiftly or consider altering the terms of their current proposal if they are to avoid losing out.

In the meantime, Juventus have already completed the signing of Jonathan David, who is expected in Turin for his medical and contract signing at the end of the week, according to Bianconera News. Even so, the pursuit of Kolo Muani demonstrates the club’s intent to build real depth and versatility in attack ahead of a season where squad rotation and adaptability are expected to become critical.

Talks between Juventus and PSG are ongoing and, while stalled for now, have not entirely broken down. The club remains optimistic that a compromise can still be found, but the chance of an auction with Premier League suitors now looms large.
