Juventus received a €15m capital injection following Thiago Motta’s sacking, but according to Tuttosport, the latest financial aid proves that ‘everybody is under scrutiny’ at the Allianz Stadium.

Juventus holding company Exor announced a €15m cash injection on Friday, providing the club with much-needed financial aid.

The Bianconeri sacked Thiago Motta this past Sunday, but the coach remains under contract until 2027, so his dismissal will cost the club circa €15m, exactly the sum covered by Elkann’s Exor.

Previous reports claimed that even Chief Football Officer Cristiano Giuntoli was under scrutiny at Juventus, not only because he had chosen Thiago Motta in the summer, but also because of an unconvincing transfer activity that saw the Bianconeri invest over €200m across the last transfer windows.

“John Elkann demonstrates his closeness to the club by opening his wallet and securing the finances,” Tuttosport editor Guido Vaciago wrote on Saturday.

“Now it’s time to step up because if a €15m patch was needed, it means that something went wrong with the project launched in the summer.

“At this point, everybody is under scrutiny—from the management to the team and even the coach, as he perhaps knew when he signed a short-term contract. Without Champions League football, a shake-up at all levels can’t be ruled out, but even qualifying for the Champions League may not guarantee immunity for everyone.”

Juventus currently sit 5th in the Serie A table, one point below fourth-placed Bologna.
