Juventus are considering offering a loan deal to sign Jadon Sancho with an obligation to buy next season.

The Englishman made three appearances off the bench last season for United before being ostracised from Erik ten Hag’s squad.

After a successful loan spell at Borussia Dortmund in the second half of the season, it was assumed that he would be sold but surprisingly he was brought back into United’s first team training in July.

The winger still seems very much for sale though, as Juventus and Barcelona have both recently expressed their interest in the player.

It was also relayed here yesterday that Juventus had a “firm interest” in signing him with the conditions of a deal already being explored.

To add another layer to a rapidly developing story, Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that “Juventus are looking for offensive wingers and in addition to Nico Gonzalez they have also returned to thinking about Jadon Sancho.”

“The Bianconeri are thinking about a loan with an obligation to buy under certain conditions set at £40 million.”

This would certainly seem like a fee that the Old Trafford decision makers could make a deal at, as they are unlikely to be moved by Barcelona’s offers of a simple loan deal.

Unfortunately, like many United players that the club want to move on, Di Marzio reports that “the problem, however, is the salary of €20 million gross.”

It has already been highlighted by the Spanish press that United expect any club interested in Sancho to pay his wage in full.

Nonetheless, were the Red Devils to receive a deal that guaranteed a payment of £40 million next summer, they may be more likely to compromise.

With Paris Saint-Germain still not totally out of the race and some sources linking Chelsea to a move with only one week of the transfer window remaining, Sancho’s future remains anything but clear.
