Reports on Thursday claim that Juventus could look to send new striker Jeff Ekhator away on an immediate loan deal, especially if the Bianconeri are unable to move on some of their other, more senior options in attack.

Juventus could send Ekhator out on immediate loan

Juventus have completed a deal worth €16m plus €2m in add-ons to sign 19-year-old centre-forward Ekhator from Genoa, who became Juve’s first signing of the summer when his transfer was announced on Wednesday.

He joins a list of centre-forwards in Turin that also includes Jonathan David, Lois Openda and Arkadiusz Milik, but not Dusan Vlahovic, whose contract expired on June 30 and is now a free agent. The Old Lady are also hoping to secure a deal to bring Randal Kolo Muani back from Paris Saint-Germain.

Despite their recent signing of Ekhator, reports from Tuttosport claim that Juventus could look to send the teenager out on an immediate loan deal, as there are concerns Luciano Spalletti will not be able to give him the attention nor game time he needs to develop at this stage of his career.

Much, however, depends on the futures of the other strikers that are currently on Juve’s books.

Thursday’s reports claim that Juventus will look to reach a mutual agreement to terminate Milik’s deal, the club wants to raise around €35m if they are to sell Canada international david, while a loan with an option to buy is the most likely scenario for Lois Openda.

However, if the Bianconeri are unable to move these strikers on, then it is possible that Ekhator will be sent out on loan for more consistent playing time instead.
