Inter look set for big changes behind the scenes.

Reports indicate that Nerazzurri Corporate CEO Alessandro Antonello will soon be departing.

Roma are reportedly close to appointing Antonello, who has been at Inter since 2017, as their new CEO.

And Nerazzurri owners Oaktree Capital have been keen to make changes.

Reports indicate that the Inter owners have been dissatisfied with the stadium situation since they took over in May.

Moreover, the damage to Inter’s reputation that has come about as a result of a scandal involving the club’s ultras group the Curva Nord has not sat well with Oaktree.

Juventus Director Francesco Calvo Could Make Surprise Move To Inter

If Inter and Antonello were to part ways, that would leave a big vacancy to fill.

Antonello has been the man who has headed up Inter’s corporate strategy since his arrival in 2017.

That means that the 59-year-old has had a huge influence over everything from the Nerazzurri’s commercial deals to their seemingly endless efforts to build a new stadium with AC Milan.

According to the Corriere, a surprise candidate has emerged to replace Antonello at Inter.

That would be Francesco Calvo. Calvo is currently the Managing Director Revenue and Institutional Relations at Juventus.

In his role with the Bianconeri, Calvo spent seven years working together with now-Inter President Beppe Marotta while the latter was in Turin.

And Marotta remains an admirer of Calvo.

Therefore, the Corriere report, Marotta has been in contact with Calvo.

The Inter President is aiming to try and bring the Juventus executive to the Nerazzurri to replace Antonello as a key part of Oaktree’s shakeup at the top.
