Juventus have set their sights on Crystal Palace right-back Daniel Muñoz as they look to bolster their defensive options ahead of the new season.
According to Tuttosport, the Colombian international has emerged as a strong target for the Italian giants, with Palace reportedly valuing the player at around €35m.
Muñoz, 28, has been a standout performer for the Eagles since his arrival from Genk, impressing with his tenacity, pace and attacking contributions down the flank.
His performances in the Premier League and on the international stage have not gone unnoticed, with Juve now said to be weighing up a formal approach.
The Bianconeri are in the market for reinforcements, particularly in the full-back positions, as they aim to re-establish themselves as title contenders in Serie A.
Muñoz’s blend of defensive solidity and forward thrust is believed to appeal to Juventus boss Thiago Motta, who is reshaping the squad to suit his progressive style of play.
While Juventus remain keen, any move for Muñoz could depend on the club’s ability to meet Palace’s valuation, with the South Londoners unlikely to let go of a key player on the cheap.
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace themselves are exploring their own defensive options in anticipation of possible summer departures. The club are understood to hold interest in Tiago Djaló, who spent last season on loan at Porto.
They are also reportedly keen on former Newcastle United defender Lloyd Kelly, who only joined Juve in January.
