Serie A giants Juventus have sold Nicolo Savona to Nottingham Forest and are now interested in Manchester United’s Noussair Mazraoui, with the situation linked with the exit of Nico Gonzalez.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported today that negotiations between Juve and Atletico Madrid have been ongoing for about ten days, with ups and downs, and in the last few hours they’ve become increasingly heated.

Juventus general manager Damien Comolli has returned to the fray with the original idea of swapping Gonzalez for Nahuel Molina. The deal remains on the table, but it’s increasingly likely to be an uphill battle, as the former Udinese full-back isn’t keen on leaving Madrid at the end of the transfer window.

This is why many full-backs have been offered to Juve and Manchester United’s Noussair Mazraoui has emerged as a target.

The move may not pose bureacratic problems for Juve. They have just one non-EU spot left but since the defender has a Dutch passport, he will not occupy that, if he joins.

Juventus will seek the former Ajax player on loan from the Red Devils. Among the alternatives, Arnau Martinez of Girona remains a strong contender.
