Juventus learn asking price for Trubin as list of Martinez alternatives grows | OneFootball

Juventus have still not come to an agreement for Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, and the latest reports in Italy claim that they have been in contact with Benfica to request information surrounding Anatoliy Trubin instead.

Trubin added to Juventus’s list of Martinez alternatives

A new goalkeeper and a new centre-forward are among the priorities for Juventus and head coach Luciano Spalletti during the summer transfer window, but as things stand in late July, teenager Jeff Akhator, who has since picked up an injury, has been the only new arrival in Turin.

The Old Lady are keen to upgrade on last season’s no.1 Michele Di Gregorio, and had initially targeted a move for Liverpool’s Alisson Becker, well known to Spalletti from their time together at Roma.

That deal did not come off, and the Bianconeri instead moved onto Argentina international Martinez instead. Aston Villa are reportedly holding out for a fee in the region of €12m-€15m for the 33-year-old, which Juventus consider to be on the steep side.

In the background, Juve have lined up a series of alternative options, including Tottenham’s Guglielmo Vicario and Parma’s Zion Suzuki.

According to the latest updates from La Stampa, the latest name to appear on Juventus’s goalkeeping shortlist is 24-year-old Benfica stopper Trubin.

The Bianconeri have reportedly been in contact with Benfica to discuss the player’s availability and have learned that it will cost a fee in the region of €30m to lure him away from Lisbon this summer. That is a similar price that has been mentioned in relation to Suzuki and Vicario.
