Former Sunderland target Jhon Lucumí is back on the agenda, with Juventus linked to a move and Barcelona monitoring his situation.
Sky Sport Italia reports that Juventus have made contact over the Bologna centre-back, who has a €28m release clause valid until mid-July, around £24.1m.
Sunderland made the 27-year-old a leading defensive target after promotion to the Premier League, submitting bids and a wage offer, and the player was understood to be open to joining. Bologna, having lost other key defenders, resisted a sale and the deal collapsed.
Sunderland did not revive talks in January. Lucumí joined Bologna from Genk in 2022 and has since become a mainstay, making 149 appearances and helping secure Champions League qualification.
With one year left on his contract, Bologna face a decision this summer, and there is thought to be only a slim chance of keeping him amid European interest. His agent has indicated he is settled in Italy and focused on Bologna. A strong World Cup with Colombia could further fuel interest, although the clause gives clubs a clear price to work with.
