Serie A giants Juventus have now sealed a move for another defender and they are set to sign Newcastle United defender Lloyd Kelly.
The Bianconeri had held talks with the Magpies for Kelly last week but they could not make progress. A move for Kevin Danso failed and now, a move for Kelly has gone through.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that there is now a verbal agreement in place between the parties regarding a move for the Englishman, who will join Juve on an initial loan deal with the obligation to buy him permanently.
The total package of the deal is at €15 million and it includes the loan fee and the fee to sign the 26-year-old on a permanent basis in the summer. The medical for the ex-Bournemouth is being planned and he will soon arrive in Turin to sign a contract.
Kelly had joined Newcastle in the summer after his contract at Bournemouth expired. He was replaced Dean Huijsen at Bournemouth, who had signed the player from Juve.
