Loïs Openda should lead the line for Lyon next season, with Juventus reported to have approved a one-year loan with no option to buy, according to L’Équipe.
The former Lens striker had already reached an agreement with OL in recent days. The move would see the Belgian international arrive on a straight loan.
Lyon are expected to pay a loan fee of three million euros, while Juventus would cover a significant share of his gross salary of eight million euros per year. That would ease OL’s constraints under the DNCG.
The arrangement is described as similar to the Endrick deal. Openda, 26, endured a flat campaign in Italy, scoring two goals in 34 matches.
If the signing is completed by the end of next week, he could be registered for the Champions League preliminary round against Sparta Prague.
