Juventus are still pursuing Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson, with the Brazilian understood to have approved a switch to Turin, but Anfield turbulence is complicating any deal.

Tuttosport reports that Alisson remains the club’s first choice as they address a problem from 2025/26. Michele Di Gregorio’s errors have convinced the hierarchy that a major upgrade is non-negotiable this summer.

The hurdle lies at Liverpool. Former head coach Arne Slot pledged to sporting director Richard Hughes to block Alisson’s exit, fearing leadership losses with Mohamed Salah, Andrew Robertson and Ibrahima Konaté expected to leave. He reportedly rejected Alisson’s request, then left himself, officially by mutual termination.

Juventus hope Liverpool’s restructuring could yet soften their stance. One scenario involves incoming coach Andoni Iraola promoting Georgian stopper Giorgi Mamardashvili to the number one role, which would free Alisson to depart.

If Alisson proves unattainable, attention could turn elsewhere. David de Gea may leave Fiorentina for between €five and €10 million, while Stuttgart’s Alexander Nubel, whose return to Bayern Munich is expected to prompt an immediate sale given Manuel Neuer’s continued presence, is valued at around €15 million.

The most surprising option is Emiliano Martinez. Sky Sport Italia says Juventus have registered interest in the Aston Villa and Argentina keeper, whose Champions League and World Cup pedigree fits the leadership profile Spalletti wants. The deal is seen as economically complex, yet Juventus plan talks with Villa in the coming days, and Spurs goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario also remains in contention.
