Juventus head to Parma on Sunday evening aiming to extend their impressive league run and cut the deficit to Serie A leaders Inter Milan, increasing the pressure at the top of the table.
Under Luciano Spalletti, the Turin giants have hit their stride, most recently dismantling Napoli 3-0 at the Allianz Stadium.
Juventus dominated the contest, restricting the reigning champions to a single effort on target while creating a steady stream of high-quality chances of their own.
Jonathan David, Kenan Yildiz and Filip Kostic were all on the scoresheet in that statement win, a result that lifted Juve to 42 points and brought them to within one point of Roma in the standings.
Dusan Vlahovic is still sidelined as he continues treatment for an adductor problem and will miss the trip to Ennio Tardini. Daniele Rugani also remains out with a calf injury, while long-term absentee Arkadiusz Milik is still working his way back to full fitness away from first-team duty.
Even so, there are plenty of positives for Spalletti. Kenan Yildiz is expected to keep his place in the starting XI after another standout display against Napoli. He scored Juve’s second and underlined his emergence as one of the most exciting attacking players in Serie A this season, taking his league tally to eight goals—already better than his previous campaign.
Manuel Locatelli should also return to a central role in midfield after being rotated in recent European action, restoring leadership and control in the middle of the park. Up front, Jonathan David is set to continue as the main centre-forward in Vlahovic’s absence, having led the line superbly in that dominant victory over Napoli.
Possible Juventus starting XI: Di Gregorio; Kalulu, Bremer, Kelly, Cambiaso; Locatelli, Thuram; Conceicao, McKennie, Yildiz; David.
The match will kick off at 7:45pm BST on Sunday, 1st February.
Supporters in the UK and Ireland will be able to follow all the action live on TNT Sports 1 and via DAZN’s streaming service.
