Kenan Yildiz’s contract renewal at Juventus remains on hold, with the two parties yet to reach an agreement over financial terms, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The report states that Juventus are eager to extend the Turkish forward’s deal until 2030, rewarding his emergence as one of the club’s most promising players. However, discussions have slowed due to a difference between what the club is offering and what Yildiz’s father-agent expects. The Bianconeri remain confident of an agreement but are cautious not to upset their internal wage structure.
The youngster’s father-agent believes that he should be earning more than what Juve have currently offered due to him becoming a leader in the club’s side at a tender age.
Chelsea and Barcelona are closely following developments, aware of the situation and ready to step in should negotiations fail to progress. Despite the outside interest, Juventus still consider Yildiz untouchable and hope to secure his future in Turin soon.
