Corinthians confirmed on Thursday the signing of 21-year-old winger Kaio César on loan from Al-Hilal until the end of the season, with an option to buy set at six million euros for 50% of his rights. The club will pay his wages and he remains contracted to the Saudi side until June 2028.
According to Meu Timao, Corinthians tracked him last year but a Fifa transfer ban halted talks. He is the fourth signing after Gabriel Paulista, Matheus Pereira and Pedro Milans, and João Ricardo is due for medicals between March and April.
Maceió-born Kaio rose at Coritiba, winning the 2021 Copa do Brasil Sub-20 and 2022 Paranaense Sub-20, and earned promotion in 2023.
He debuted in January 2023, scored against Azuriz and Athletico Paranaense, then renewed in February to August 2026 with a clause set at 50 million euros. He ended 2023 with 36 games and three goals as Coritiba went down.
After a brief Copinha return in 2024, he joined Vitória de Guimarães, made 12 league appearances, and was bought.
In 2024/25 he played 17 league games with two goals and three assists. Al-Hilal signed him in January 2025 for around nine million euros.
He totalled 39 matches, four goals and six assists at Al-Hilal.
At 1.68m, he is a rapid left-footed winger who prefers the right but can play across the front line.
