Kaizer Chiefs’ CAF Confederation Cup first preliminary round opponents Kabuscorp secured a morale-boosting win in the Girabola on Tuesday.
The Angolan outfit beat city rivals Interclub 1-0 in the season opener, thanks to a goal from Sandro, who is on loan from Petro de Luanda.
Kabuscorp currently top the log standings in Angola, with the other 14 teams in the championship yet to commence their 2025/26 season.
The Luanda-based outfit will head into the clash against Chiefs beaming with confidence from their derby victory as they aim to claim a favorable result on their home soil.
Kabuscorp, the 2025 Angolan Cup winners, will host Amakhosi at the 11 November Stadium in the first leg at Luanda on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Soweto giants will be without head coach Nasreddine Nabi, who is in ongoing discussions to terminate his contract with the club.
The Tunisian mentor did not travel with the squad and is expected to depart Chiefs in the upcoming days, with assistants Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef set to take charge against the Angolan side.
On playing personnel, the Glamour Boys will be without key defender Thabiso Monyane, who missed the last game due to an injury.
