Karim Benzema wants Paul Pogba to join him in Saudi Arabia | OneFootball

According to a report from Téléfoot, Karim Benzema (37) is trying to convince his former international teammate Paul Pogba (32) to join him in Saudi Arabia.

The former Manchester United midfielder has been allowed to resume his footballing career after his doping ban was reduced from four years to 18 months. However, the 2018 World Cup winner remains without a club after he and Juventus opted to part ways by mutual consent.

The midfielder is a free agent but has not yet leapt into any new deal, and he is thought to be attracting interest from the MLS and also Japan. Olympique de Marseille reportedly considered a move but did not want to bring him in before the end of the season.

They reportedly could not reignite their interest if he remains on the market by the summer window. However, Saudi Arabia could offer a new opportunity for the midfielder, with a solid French contingent at Benzema’s club, including N’Golo Kanté, Moussa Diaby, and manager Laurent Blanc.

Téléfoot writes that Pogba has not yet made up his mind about his future.
