Manchester United are keen on adding more firepower to their attack to strengthen their push for Champions League football.

Only Manchester City have scored more goals than the Red Devils in the Premier League. However, United have now lost in-form forwards Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo to the Africa Cup of Nations.

Earlier this week, The Telegraph reported that Ruben Amorim wants to compensate for the loss of key forwards. As such, United will go all-out to sign Antoine Semenyo in January. However, they face competition from City, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.

Amid this, a report in Spain suggests United are eyeing an ambitious swoop for a Serie A star.

Manchester United considering making big-money move for Yildiz

Akin to Semenyo, Kenan Yildiz has been on United’s radar since last summer.

According to Fichajes, United are prepared to splash as much as €100m to sign Yildiz from Juventus.

It is claimed the Turkey international wants a move to the Premier League, as his camp is convinced the highly-rated 20-year-old attacker is ready to take the next step.

Despite the Turn outfit’s struggles, the youngster has been directly involved in 12 goals in 21 appearances across all competitions this season.

He is tied to the Old Lady in Turin until 2029. However, it is believed United’s astronomical offer could be enough to convince Juve to part ways with their star forward sooner than they would like.

Ruben Amorim wants a versatile attacker

Figures at Old Trafford allegedly admire Yildiz for his versatility and believe he has the potential to improve competition for places in Amorim’s system.

In particular, there are concerns over Benjamin Sesko’s “lack of decisiveness” in the final third. The technically-gifted Slovenian has shown signs of promise, but he is too inexperienced to lead the line for the Premier League giants on his own.

Meanwhile, Joshua Zirkzee is expected to return to Serie A, with AS Roma pushing for his signature

Yildiz is capable of playing all across the frontline and even in attacking midfield. The Turkish sensation is strong in duels and calm in possession. He possesses the flair and passing vision to unlock compact defences, leading to comparisons to Barcelona star Lamine Yamal.
