Kevin Quejada, developed at Grêmio, is thriving in Venezuela. The 23-year-old Colombian is the league's top scorer with Estudiantes de Mérida after limited chances in Brazil.

According to Globo.com, since the start of this season he has played nine top-flight matches, scoring eight of the team's 14 goals and adding one assist. Estudiantes sit eighth after nine rounds.

He joined Grêmio outright at the end of 2020 after a brief earlier stint, aged 18, and was placed with the under-20s. He featured in youth tournaments and the Copa FGF, where Grêmio used a transition side.

After the 2022 Copa São Paulo, he was loaned to São José for the Gauchão, where he made his professional debut. He played nine times and scored once, against Inter at Passo D'Areia.

Back at Grêmio following the state championship, he made his first-team bow against Chapecoense at the Arena in Série B. He also appeared in the Recopa Gaúcha, won against Glória in Vacaria, but had no further senior minutes.

Roger Machado's side then had Diego Souza as first-choice centre-forward, with Elkeson the main alternative and Elias Manoel and Ricardinho also in contention. Quejada returned to the transition team for the rest of that season.

He later had loans at Barracas Central in Argentina and Llaneros in Colombia. After a short return to Grêmio in 2024, he left permanently for Feirense in Portugal, spent six months back home with Cúcuta, then moved to Venezuela this year.
