"It was difficult for me to adapt to Barcelona, I cried and suffered a lot, but I am a better footballer now," Kika Nazareth said to Betevé.
"When I was injured, I could only think that I could not show what I was worth. It was very frustrating."
"I learned a lot by watching from the stands," she said.
"I like the spotlight, but I know the team I represent and the players we have, and there are opportunities for everyone."
She left Benfica on 4 July 2024 for €500,000, ending a spell as one of their leading women’s players. This season for Barcelona she has played 19 times, 13 in Liga F, five in the UEFA Women’s Champions League and one in the Copa de la Reina. She has totalled 793 minutes, with five goals and six assists.
