Hansi Flick will opt for the 4-2-3-1 formation once again and is expected to make some changes to his first team for this clash. Both Jules Kounde and Marcus Rashford could get a chance to impress from the start of this game.

Defence

Joan Garcia will play in goal for the Catalan giants after conceding one goal in his last outing. Pau Cubarsi will resume his partnership with Gerard Martin at the centre of the Barcelona backline as they look to keep the opposition attackers frustrated throughout the 90 minutes.

Jules Kounde will try to prove his worth as the right-back, while Joao Cancelo hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to perform their defensive duties well before trying to offer some support to their teammates up top.

Ronald Araujo and Alejandro Balde will make up the numbers on the bench as they offer cover for the defensive positions.

Midfield

Pedri and Eric Garcia will operate as the holding midfielders for Barcelona as they look to dictate the tempo of the game inside the opponent’s half.

The gifted trio of Fermin Lopez, Gavi and Marcus Rashford will function just ahead of them as part of Flick’s attack. All three of them need to retain possession well in tight spaces if Barca want to come out on top in this Clasico this weekend.

Frenkie de Jong and Marc Bernal will have to settle for a place on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second half if required.

Attack

Robert Lewandowski will lead the line for the Catalan outfit up top. He has to find a way to be a constant menace in the final third.
