Eintracht Frankfurt salvaged a 3-3 draw at Werder Bremen with an injury-time equaliser, but pressure is mounting on Dino Toppmöller after a porous display. Sporting CEO Markus Krösche was scathing about the defending.
Frankfurt led twice, were pegged back, then levelled late to take a point. According to BuLi News, it was the third time in 2026 that Kaua Santos and Frankfurt have conceded three in a Bundesliga game. The result extends their winless run to four games.
Krösche said it was the same mistakes again, with the same topics lingering for 17 or 18 games. He felt they concede incredibly easy goals, are far too hectic in possession and have no structure.
The 45-year-old did not rule out a change of direction, saying they cannot continue like this and that Toppmöller’s future is being discussed. He added that the issues must be addressed to avoid repeats of such performances.
Asked about his position, the 45-year-old coach said he does not feel that way when it comes to fearing for his job. Frankfurt now turn to the Champions League, away to Qarabag on Wednesday.
