Kylian Mbappé fires warning to Real Madrid teammates: ‘We can’t forget Atlético’ | OneFootball

Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has sent something of a warning the way of his teammates in Spain’s capital.

This comes fresh off an outing to forget for Los Blancos this past weekend.

Real Madrid of course saw their flawless opening to the campaign brought to an end in nothing short of humiliating fashion last Saturday.

This came by way of a derby day drubbing at the hands of city rivals Atlético Madrid.

After taking a 2-1 lead during the first-half at the Metropolitano, Xabi Alonso’s troops were responsible for a complete collapse, en route to a 5-2 defeat.

Real have since bounced back, making short work of Kazakh outfit Kairat in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

But as alluded to above, the star of the show in Almaty was quick post-match to send a reminder of their prior embarrassment on the domestic front to his teammates.

After netting a hat-trick in a 5-0 win, Kylian Mbappé explained:

”We can’t forget what happened this weekend against Atlético Madrid. We have to work hard to ensure it doesn’t happen again. But we can’t forget it.”
