Barcelona consolidated their position at the top of the league table with a 2-0 win over Getafe, which puts them 11 points ahead of Real Madrid.
Fermin Lopez was one of the stars of the game for a Barcelona side playing without Lamine Yamal, who has been ruled out until the end of the season with a fresh injury.
The Spaniard notably scored the all-important opener, late in the first half, by capitalising on a fine pass from midfielder Pedri.
Fermin, though, did not forget about his teammate Yamal as he showed support to the injured youngster by mirroring his celebration.
Fermin’s celebration did not go unnoticed, as Yamal himself thanks his Barcelona teammate for the sweet gesture.

Shortly after Barcelona’s win, Yamal took to social media, sharing a photo of Lopez’s goal celebration with the caption that read, “Love u my g!!! @ferminlopez“, which was followed by several emojis.
Lopez’s affectionate gesture for Yamal just goes to show the level of influence and empathy the 18-year-old has in the Barcelona dressing room.
It is only a good sign for the Catalans, as they look to build for the future, with Yamal serving as the face of the club.
What is perhaps more important is that the player seems to enjoy great support from his teammates, with most of them belonging to the La Masia academy.
For now, though, Yamal will focus on his recovery and has already waved goodbye to the season. He is expected to be fit for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America, with Spain counting on his services.
