Well, things move fast in the world of transfers these days. A new rumour popped up this evening, and within an hour a few sources have teamed up to crush it.
In a piece about Renato Veiga and his potential move to Juventus picking up pace, the Times mentioned Chelsea interest in Dusan Vlahovic.
(On the subject of Veiga, Maresca confirmed in his press conference earlier that the defender had been left out for a “technical reason,” which translates from coach speak as “he’s speaking to other clubs.”)
However, no sooner had that come out then Fabrizio Romano was replying saying there was nothing to it.
“He’s not on Chelsea’s list now.”
Ben Jacobs, who is well connected at Chelsea, also quickly denied the Vlahovic aspect has any truth. The Serb’s massive wages make any deal look pretty impossible to us.

What’s more interesting is what Romano has to say about the potential of Veiga gong to Juventus. Borussia Dortmund had been the most regularly mentioned, but they’ve clearly taken a back seat.
Romano says Chelsea and the Italian club will meet tomorrow, with the former Sporting defender who signed in the summer now having a “good chance to leave” after a short stay in West London.
Meanwhile Tosin, who had been mentioned a fair bit in the general swirl of rumour (we never bought it), is considered an important player and is happy at Chelsea.
That makes things a little clearer at the back, but not much. If Veiga goes is the idea for Levi Colwill to be our alternate for Marc Cucurella at left back? Or Malo Gusto and Reece James to come in?
