“It was an evening where we weren’t able to do anything we had prepared,” he said.

“Congratulations to PSG, who delivered an extraordinary performance. They didn’t make any mistakes and deserved to win. I’m proud of the team, the coach, my teammates and the Club. Now, we need to get back on our feet, as is only right. We had an excellent season, even though we didn’t win any titles. There is bitterness and the desire to come back stronger. We gave everything and did everything. Today, we suffered a defeat that hurts, but I’m proud.”

The game in Munich last night was the single-game European final with the highest goal margin between the two teams.

Lautaro’s teammate Nicolò Barella said PSG “wanted it more” than Inter, while Francesco Acerbi argued that PSG were going “twice as fast” as the Nerazzurri.
